| Purpose & Goals To bring together information about the Willits Area Health Care Professionals and Healing Arts Practitioners, and local groups and clinics in both conventional biomedicine and alternative healing arts in a cohesive directory. This directory will be a community resource, a reference guide for individuals seeking health solutions and a tool to assist professionals in making referrals. We hope that the development of this directory and network will help connect the Willits Area Health and Healing Arts community, facilitating the sharing of diverse philosophies of health care and healing. Simply view this publication as a listing of local offerings in the interest of a healthy community. Directory Content and Structure Contact information for practitioners, local groups and clinics is published on the directory’s web site www.willitshealth.com. This contact information is also published in The Soroptimist International of Willits Telephone Directory. The Willits Area is defined as being in the 95490 zip code. The website Practice/Specialty Pages contain a sentence written by the listed individual containing additional information about their specialty, specific talents or areas of expertise. The directory lists are in alphabetical order. A glossary describing the conventional medicine, alternative therapies and terms represented in the listing is included on the web site. A calendar of health related events is being developed on the directory site. The website contains optional pages for individuals listed in the directory in which the practitioner can offer a detailed description of their practice including graphics. These webpages link to the main directory page and other appropriate pages in the site. There is a fee for these optional pages based on time spent developing them, starting at $50 for a basic webpage on the Willits Area Health and Healing Arts Directory site and/or $10 to link to your existing webpage or email, also a fee will be charged for updates, maintenance and changes to the webpages and links. A yearly maintenance fee of $10 will be charged for links. A yearly maintenance fee of $20 will be charged for web pages. (Fees subject to change) The fees collected will help make the directory self-sustaining. (Fees may be reduced or waived for those willing to volunteer time to directory related activities such as entering data, distribution, publicity, etc.) Disclaimers Not all those listed in the alternative healing arts pages are licensed or certified.
